Calum Huggan: joining the Delphian roster

Delphian Records has signed Scottish percussionist Calum Huggan. His debut album will feature 20th century American marimba music, and include premiere recordings of works by Ivan Trevino, Michael Burritt, and Eric Ewazen. It will be recorded at St Mary's Broughton Street Edinburgh.

Huggan – a Professor of Marimba at London’s Trinity Laban – has performed with a number of leading UK orchestra and ensembles, as well as working on many cross genre and multi art-form collaborations. His signing further reinforces Delphian’s commitment to nurturing and championing leading young artists – recent additions to the Scottish label’s roster include recorder player Tabea Debus, contemporary ensemble The Hermes Experiment and guitarist Alexandra Whittingham, plus an association with The Young Classical Artists Trust.
